My thoughts on Curiosity

Peter Molyneux, the man infamous for making extraordinary claims for his games, has recently helped develop a new free iOS game called “Curiosity”, developed by 22 Cans

I’ve been playing the game quite a bit, and I have to admit: it’s actually pretty fun. It’s a nice little game to tap away at if you’re just sitting around at a bus stop. It’s also nice to play when you just want to relax for a bit, as it doesn’t take much brain power to play. The game is an interesting experience, seeing all the pictures and messages people type out into the cube’s surface. I also like uncovering the next pictures that are made from the layers of cubes. The current one is different city scenes.

Although it is a neat game, it has some huge problems. One being the stupid facebook button in the top right part of the screen. Why they didn’t put it in the menu is beyond me. It’s extremely easy to hit, and once you do, you’re disconnected from the servers. It can take anywhere from a few minutes to a few days to get reconnected, which means you lose all the money you had earned, which can buy you different pickaxes. This makes it impossible to get the diamond pickaxe, which can get you to the center of the cube instantaneously, as your money is constantly being reset.

While this game does have some big problems, it’s worth downloading, as it’s free and surprisingly fun. Who knows, you may be the one to get to the “life changing” center.
